Fitchburg State University will be closed, and all classes 是取消了, 周三, 7月12日 because of a power outage. The campus will be notified when power is restored.

This is a Fitchburg State Alert.

An electrical transformer on campus experienced water incursion last night, resulting in a campus-wide power outage. Capital Planning and Maintenance and other crews are on campus addressing the situation.

Because of the outage, the university is closed 今天, July 11. Only certain essential personnel are required to report to campus. Employees should contact their supervisors for clarification on whether they are essential in this situation.

The timeframe for mitigation is unclear. An update will be provided by email between 1 and 3 p.m. 今天.

This is a Fitchburg State Alert. Crews are continuing to work to restore electrical service to campus following weather-related disruptions that caused flooding and equipment damage. While the replacement parts have been identified, we are experiencing delays in delivery.

Because of the ongoing conditions, the university will remain closed 周三, 7月12日, and all classes will again be canceled. Only essential personnel will be required to report to campus.
